Owner & Chief Experience Officer
I’ve been in hospitality since before I could spell it.
As a kid, I was setting tables with my grandmother—polishing silver, placing name cards, and obsessing (in the best way) over how each guest would feel. Turns out, that kind of intentionality sticks. It shaped my life’s work: making people feel seen, welcomed, and wowed.
That same energy drives everything we do at Spark. My goal has always been to be the ultimate hostess of North Carolina—and beyond. From SUV arrivals to custom room drops, I’m thinking five steps ahead—so your guests feel cared for, your brand shines, and nothing falls through the cracks.
Because I don’t just care that it gets done.
I care how it lands.
How it feels.
What people say afterward—and how they’ll remember it long after.

Alex Friedrich
Operations Manager
Alex is our logistics lead and inventory MVP—known for a perfectly packed box truck, a spotless warehouse, and a near-religious devotion to getting the details right.
He’s a JWU grad, a brand-new dad, and the kind of guy who’s equally passionate about sneaker drops, weird playlists, and freshly mowed grass. Also: funny AF (his words, not ours).
Tori Carufe
Director of Live Events
Tori brings serious hospitality chops—two Ritz-Carlton 5-star awards and a gift for making chaos look calm. She’s the steady hand you want in your corner (unless you're in the ring—then it’s all WWE mode).
Equal parts cat mom, plant whisperer, and brunch enthusiast, she’s got a strong squat game, a soft spot for travel, and a T-Rex spirit animal that tracks more than you’d think.
Danielle Long
Fulfillment Manager
Danielle keeps the wheels turning and the gifts on-brand—every box, bow, and swag bag right where it should be. A proud UNCW grad and self-declared “cool mom,” she’s equal parts detail diva and organizational queen.
Off the clock, you’ll find her hunting shark teeth, repping App State, or bumping ‘90s hip hop with a bourbon in hand.
Around here, she’s just “D”—and she gets it done.
Katherine Apple
Manager of Creative Logistics
Katherine’s the bridge between big ideas and buttoned-up execution—equal parts spreadsheet guru and salt-blend alchemist.
She’s a former collegiate swimmer and dedicated dog mom who also happens to be a skilled welder.
One minute she’s fusing metal, the next she’s cracking a corny joke. She’s also the team’s go-to cook. Just don’t ask her to keep your plants alive.
Brent Edwards
Mr. Fil Inda Blank
Brent’s the behind-the-scenes muscle, mood-setter, and Mr. Fix-It who makes Spark shine even brighter.
A born-and-raised North Carolinian with Blue Ridge in his bones, he’s a custom furniture designer by trade, a vintage car guy by hobby, and the team’s unofficial campfire architect.
Known lovingly as “B Real,” he’s the collector of cool—and the one you want when something needs building, solving, or just plain handling.
